Breaking News reports that a woman who died in a car crash last week was speeding and had nearly three times the legal amount of alcohol in her system, Northfield's police chief said today. The two cars collided head-on at 7:45 p.m. on April 15 on Willow Road at the curving portion of the street between Wagner and Sunset Ridge roads. Tests showed that one of the drivers, 22-year-old Silvia Garcia-Segura of Chicago, had a blood-alcohol level of 0.229 percent, said Police Chief Bill Lustig. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
